Athlone “Yours to Uncover”
Athlone has received amazing coverage from Fáilte Ireland’s recent campaign “Yours to Uncover”. Athlone features prominently on the new television adverts that aired for the first time last week and our own showcase video.
Ray Darcy was in Athlone last week promoting the campaign along with a host of other television and social media personalities, Rory Cowan, formerly of Mrs Brown’s Boys, the Happy Pear twins Stephen and David Flynn and Declan O’Rourke and Mary O’Rourke.
The Ray Darcy , RTE Radio 1 show was broadcasting from the Radisson Blu hotel, Wednesday last. Just one of its stops on the shows tour throughout the hidden heartlands, from Athlone to Carraick- on- Shannon and Roscommon ,Galway and Tipperary.
Niall Tracey, Failte Irelands Director of Marketing said of the campaign, ” it focuses on the theme of discovery and exploration and encourages visitors to uncover their unique experience of the natural beauty and treasures of Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands”
This was amazing publicity for Athlone as a town and for local businesses like Baysports, Ireland’s Largest Inflatable waterpark based on Lough Ree.
