There are superb facilities in the town for family living and it has a population of around 8,968 (2016 Census). The town has excellent amenities including GAA clubs, Nenagh Olympic athletic club, Nenagh Golf Club, Arts centre, Heritage centre and Nenagh Castle is always a great attraction for tourists and locals to visit.
