Silverbrook Arden Road Tullamore
Today’s Irish Independent property section hosted an excellent editorial on the beautiful new homes Silverbrook in Tullamore. The editorial read as follows
Tullamore’s first big scheme since before the crash
Silverbrook, a new development of 200 homes in Tullamore, has become the first large residential scheme to launch in Offaly’s county town since 2007.
Codd Property Holdings released the first phase of 24 three- and four-bed houses earlier this month at Silverbrook, which is being developed at Arden Road. When it’s complete, the scheme will be set on a landscaped communal open spaces and will incorporate a picnic area, a playground, and a sports playing field.
Prices in the initial release start at €249,000 for a three-bed semi-detached house, €289,000 for a four-bed semi, €339,000 for a four-bed detached home, and €379,000 for a larger, double-fronted four-bed detached style.
Designed by Dublin-based C+W O’Brien Architects, the facades of the timber-framed properties are finished in self-coloured render with brick detail, concrete roof tiles, and high performance PVC windows. There is a cobble-locked driveway to the front of each home; and a rear garden surrounded by fair-faced block walls.
Inside, Fitzgerald Kitchens supplies the kitchen units, feature island and Corian worktops. The kitchen also includes a space for a media area. There is timber wall paneling and a half landing to the stairs. On the first floor, the bathroom and ensuites are designed around contemporary clean lines.
A high-efficiency, split-system air-to-water heat pump provides the heating and hot water to each house, and there is wiring for an electric car charging point.
Viewings of the Silverbrook showhouse will take place from 2pm to 4pm tomorrow and Sunday.
